Several petroleum tankers have so far been destroyed in a fire outbreak at the Ekpan Tankers Park near the Warri Refinery in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
NSCDC arrests fake army General in Niger
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Niger State on Saturday said it had apprehended a suspected fake army general in Minna on Monday.
Commander Philip Ayuba, Commandant of NSCDC, in the state made the disclosure while presenting the suspect before newsmen in Minna.

Recession will not last, says Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari has said that
his administration is trying to do the right things in addressing the
economic recession.
The president made the statement in a nationwide broadcast to mark the country’s 56th Independence Anniversary on Saturday.
Buhari said, “I ran for office because I
know that good government is the only way to ensure prosperity and
abundance for all. I remain resolutely committed to this objective.
“I believe that this recession will not last.
“Temporary problems should not blind or divert us from the corrective course this government has charted for our nation.
“We have identified the country’s salient problems and we are working hard at lasting solutions.’’
